In the first week of January, Skype released beta 1 for 2.1 version of Skype for Linux and now beta 2 for the same version is released. You can download an install this new beta on your Linux distributions like Ubuntu, Fedora etc.

- Screen Sharing – This option is already there in Skype 4.1 for Windows. Now you can share your full screen or a particular selection using this “Share Screen” option on Skype for Linux.
- Local Time Format
- Support of UI Styles
- Now Quote a message in a chat / conversations on Skype
